Als Hommage an die höchsten Gipfel der Welt und die Bergsteiger, die diese unter extremen Bedingungen mutig erklimmen, verfügt die auf 290 Exemplare limitierte Montblanc 1858 Geosphere Chronograph 0 Oxygen The 8000 Limited Edition über ein 44-mm-Titangehäuse, das frei ist von Sauerstoff. Das Vermeiden von Feuchtigkeitsbildung und Oxidation ist für die Entdecker von großem Vorteil, da das Uhrwerk so länger und präziser funktioniert.
Angetrieben vom Montblanc Chronographen mit Weltzeitkomplikation, Kaliber MB 29.27, bietet dieses Automatikwerk ein Datum bei 3 Uhr und zwei sich drehende dreidimensionale Weltkugeln mit der nördlichen Hemisphäre bei 12 Uhr und der südlichen Hemisphäre bei 6 Uhr. Beide Halbkugeln verfügen über Referenzmediane in Orange, 14 Punkte für die 8000er Gipfel auf den nördlichen Kontinenten und Tag-/Nachtanzeigen.
Darüber hinaus besitzt die Uhr eine geriffelte, beidseitig drehbare schwarze Keramiklünette mit den Himmelsrichtungen sowie eine 3D-Lasergravur auf dem Gehäuseboden mit den Namen und Höhen der 14 Achttausender. Die Leuchtanzeigen auf Zifferblatt und Lünette sind äußerst praktisch bei Outdoor-Aktivitäten.
