Ref. MB129419 - The Montblanc Writers Edition Homage to Robert Louis Stevenson is dedicated to this fantastic storyteller. The novel "Treasure Island" served as inspiration for many of the details of this edition. The shape of the writing instrument and the rings on the cone are reminiscent of a historic extendable binocular. The barrel, made of black precious resin, is decorated with engraved crosses, including a larger "X" reminiscent of the symbol that marks the location of buried treasure on a map. Vertical lines reminiscent of the planks of the schooner "Hispaniola" and a traditional sea chest adorn the cap of the Writers Edition. Behind the platinum-plated clip, the lines merge into a compass rose, while the clip is shaped like a mooring pin, used to secure a ship's rigging. The cap top is adorned with the Montblanc emblem, featuring the prominent pirate symbol – a skull and crossbones – in the center. The cap ring is engraved with the signature of Robert L. Stevenson and the year of publication of his first work, "The Pentland Rising," 1866. The cap is engraved with the dates of Robert Louis Stevenson's life, 1850-1894.
