Ref. 131627 - The story behind the Montblanc Star Legacy Orbis Terrarum Limited Edition 360 begins in 1872 with Jules Verne and his famous novel "Around the World in 80 Days." This well-known story of intrigue and adventure continues to capture the imagination of young and old to this day. Like Phileas Fogg and Passepartout, the watch was crafted to accompany adventurers on their journeys around the globe. A helpful feature in this regard is its in-house manufactured world time complication, which allows the time in all 24 time zones to be read at a glance. As a nod to Phileas Fogg's journey, the multi-layered dial features 80 gold lines.
It depicts the world map as seen from the North Pole, rotating in sync with the movement. The titanium caseback features a 3D laser engraving that adds color, depth, and realism to the depiction of the majestic and faithful elephant Kiouni. Available with a 43mm polished stainless steel case, it is powered by the MB 29.20 automatic movement. This watch also features an interchangeable blue alligator-embossed calfskin strap. The adventures extend to the strap lining, which features an embossing of Chinese coins and boteh leaves found on the 80-day journey.
